Refund Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Practice Directions offers a simple, plain-English refund policy for classified ad placements purchased on practicedirections.com.

Initial Purchase — Pre-Publication Cooling-Off

Ads typically go live within 1-2 business days of purchase, after our brief review. Before your ad is published on the site, you may cancel your purchase for a full refund. Simply email corey@practicedirections.com and we will refund your payment within 3-5 business days.

Once your ad is published on the site, all sales are final. Buyer response volume is not guaranteed and does not qualify for a refund.

Renewals

Your listing auto-renews every 90 days at your locked-in rate. You will always receive two reminder emails before any renewal charge — one 7 days before, one 2 days before. Each reminder includes a one-click cancel link that stays active through your renewal date.

As long as you cancel before the renewal charge processes, you will not be charged for the next term. Your current ad remains live through the end of the term you have already paid for.

If the one-click link in a reminder email has expired or isn’t working, email corey@practicedirections.com any time before your renewal date and we’ll cancel it for you.

If a renewal charge processes and you missed both reminder emails, contact us within 3 days of the charge and we will work with you to resolve it.

Exceptions

We reserve the right to issue a refund outside these terms at our discretion — for example, if a technical error on our end prevents your ad from displaying properly, or if you contact us with unusual circumstances. Email corey@practicedirections.com and we’ll work with you.

What We Don’t Refund

The following are not eligible for refund at any time:

  • Ad placements after publication, based on buyer response volume
  • Fees paid to third parties (attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, lenders, or other advisors you engage separately)
  • Costs you incur based on the PracticEstimate report (this is educational information provided as a free bonus with your FSBO listing, not a formal valuation — see our Terms of Service)
  • Transaction outcomes (whether or not your practice ultimately sells at, above, or below the PracticEstimate range)

Failed Renewal Payments

If your renewal payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), we email you immediately with a link to update your payment method. Your ad remains live during a 7-day grace period while you update your card. If payment is not resolved within 7 days, your ad is removed from the classifieds and the subscription ends. You can re-list at any time, though the founding rate is only preserved for continuous subscriptions.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your credit card issuer without first contacting us, we consider that a breach of these terms and may deny future access to our services. Please email us first — we resolve almost every refund and billing question the same business day.

Governing Law

This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service and is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
